What is the fee to participate in tackle football?
There is a registration fee of $200 per child. The cost of uniform/equipment is not included in the registration fee and will need to be purchased separately.
What is the fee to participate in flag football?
There is a registration fee of $150 per child. The cost of a uniform (2 dri-fit shirts) is included in your registration. Flags are provided by the leauge and distributed before each practice or game.
What is the fee to participate in cheerleading?
There is a registration fee of $215 per child. The cost of uniform/equipment is not included in the registration fee and will need to be purchased separately.
How do I register my child for tackle football, flag football or cheerleading?
Each child/participant must be registered through the Jenks Trojan Athletics website. You can locate the correct program for registation under the Registration tab on our website.
Can I pay by check?
Yes. Checks can be made payable to JTA and can be given to a current JTA executive board member. Please add your child’s name and grade in the memo section of the check.
Can I pay in installments?
No, currently installment payments are not available.
Is there financial assistance available?
Yes. JTA offers scholarships on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please read more information on our Scholarship page. Please reach out if you need assistance by emailing info@jtasports.com.
Are there fundraisers?
Yes, there will be a golf tournament fundraiser in September 2025. Please watch for more information soon.
My child has never participated in tackle football before. Once I sign him/her up, what do I need to do next?
Once you have registered your child, he/she will need to be fitted for their uniform and equipment. They can be fitted on your own time by visiting Midwest Sporting Goods at 9530 E 55th Pl, Tulsa, OK 74145. They will need a helmet with mouthpiece and chin strap, shoulder pads, practice pants, cleats, practice jersey and a water bottle or jug.
Does my child need to have a physical?
No.
Are there any other documents I need to provide?
No.
What item(s) should I purchase/provide for my child to play tackle football?
You will need to purchase the uniform bundle. You will also need to purchase/provide football cleats, shoulder pads, helmet with chinstrap, mouthpiece, practice jersey, practice pants, (pads or girdle) and a water jug or bottle. These are not included in the registration fee.
Where do I purchase practice pants, practice jerseys, and/or football cleats?
You can purchase practice pants (pads and girdle) practice jersey, shoulder pads, helmets and cleats at any nearby sporting goods store. JTA has a some access to used equipment for discounted purchase, please reach out via email at info@jtasports.com.
How does my daughter get a cheerleading uniform?
There will be a Buy Back, Uniform Fitting and Ordering event on Sunday, May 18th @ 4:00pm - 6:00pm @Battlecreek Jenks Church (2101 W 118th Street, Jenks, OK 74037).
For cheerleading, can I expect to have to pay more than the uniform costs and registration fees?
Yes. There will be times when the squad will be required to spend money outside of the registration fees. Examples of this may include: participating in the homecoming parade, team parties, competition fees, etc. Your sponsor will communicate how they will handle collecting for these costs. Most squads also provide fundraising opportunities.
What is a combine?
The JTA Combine is an opportunity for coaches to view all the players that will be participating in the draft for the upcoming season. The players will need to wear their helmet, t-shirt, shorts, and football cleats to the combine as they will be participating in an event that tests a player's speed, strength, agility, and power.
Who participates in the JTA Combine?
Any new tackle football players that are not protected by a team or any player that has elected to return to the draft.
When and where is the JTA Combine?
July TBD, 2025 at the Allan Trimble Stadium (Jenks High School football field).
How do I know what team my child is on?
After the JTA Combine, and after the JTA Draft, teams are formed; a head coach will contact you with team information including practice times and location.
My child participated last year, does he/she automatically return to the same team?
Yes, unless you wish to place your child back into the draft or you registered after the draft. Coaches CANNOT put players back into the draft, only parents can request that their child be placed back into the draft. (JTA Bylaws)
What do I need to do if I don't want my child to return to the same team?
When you register your child, please indicate that, NO you do not want to return to last years team. This selection will mean you wish for your child to return to the draft.
How can I have my child placed on a specific tackle football team?
Our draft rules are governed by INFC and are very specific. Please see the rules/regulations section of the INFC website.
Can I request a specific cheerleading squad?
All requests will be reviewed. We strive to grant requests. However, due to the growth of our program, the cheer program's priority is increasing the number of squads per grade to keep up with the coverage of football teams.
I have twins who would like to play football, can they both be on the same team?
Yes.
I have two children who are two years apart; can they both be on the same team?
According to INFC rules, a child in the 3rd – 7th grade levels will be allowed to play up one grade level only with approval. The only way a child would be allowed to play up two grade levels would be for the reason of weight. A player will not be allowed to play down a grade level. If your child is in Mighty-Mite (1st or 2nd grade), they are not allowed to play up a grade unless the child turns 8 years old prior to September 1 or the weight rule affects the player.
How often will my child practice for tackle football?
Your child could have practice up to four times a week for a maximum time limit of two hours each practice. Your coach will contact you with specifics on practice.
What are the days and times of cheerleading practices?
Practice days and times are chosen by the squad sponsors. Each squad sponsor will communicate practice expectations during the summer.
When is cheerleading camp and do we have to pay for it?
The JTA cheer program provides a cheer camp and a cheer clinic that is built into the registration fee. The cheer clinic will be hosted at the JTA fields June 2nd-4th, 5:00pm-7:00pm. JHS Varsity Cheerleaders will assist teaching girls the JTA cheers, sideline dances, and fight song.
Each squad will also schedule a halftime camp before the season begins. More information will be provided by your squad sponsor.
When are the games?

When will I get my child's game schedule?
Game schedules will be given the week of the first regular season game. Your coach will distribute the schedules. You may also go to the INFC website to print the schedule.
How long are the games?
All games are typically scheduled in one hour and 15 minute increments.
What time do I need to have my child at the football field on game days?
Players are required to weigh-in before every game; typically 30 minutes before scheduled game time. Players should arrive before the scheduled game time to weigh-in and properly warm-up. Your coach will provide the specifics.
Are all the games played in Jenks?
No.
Where are the home fields located for Jenks?
JTA Fields, Jenks Middle School Football Field and Allan Trimble Stadium - Jenks High School. You may access address for our Facilities here.
Does it cost to attend my child's games?
Yes, per INFC rules there is a gate fee as follows: Adults = $5.00;
Students (ages 6-18) = $2.00;
Seniors (ages 65 and older) = $2.00;
Children under 5 years old = Free;
Players and cheerleaders = Free
What if I have two children in the program and I have one home game and one away game, will I have to pay a gate fee twice?
Yes.
I have two children in the program and both have games at the same location but different times, will I be required to pay gate fee twice?
You should be able to get a stamp at the gate before you leave the first game to allow you to reenter the second game.
What is the INFC?
INFC stands for Indian Nations Football Conference. This is the governing body that Jenks Trojan Athletics is associated with. The INFC handles all scheduling of pre-season, post-season, and league games. The INFC also handles all scheduling of league officials. Jenks Trojan Athletics is an INFC league sanctioned club and therefor fall under all rules set forth by the Conference. Jenks Trojan Athletics (JTA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing tackle football, flag football and cheerleading programs to the Jenks community children in Kindergarten through 7th grades. The JTA board is run by elected volunteers.
JTA is a member of the Indian Nations Football Conference (INFC). The INFC governs, coordinates, and enforces by-laws and regulations for its youth football and cheer member organizations. JTA Football Coaches and Cheer Sponsors are required to attend a clinic held by the INFC each year, where these rules and regulations are reviewed.
INFC is responsible for scheduling all Kindergarten through 7th grade games and coordinates the playoff brackets. JTA does not coordinate the games schedules and has no control over when games schedules are released, games times, games dates, or schedule changes. Violation of INFC rules can result in fines, forfeiture of games, suspension of Coaches and Cheer Sponsors, and even probation for the entire member organization. JTA upholds and abides by all rules and regulations released by the INFC.
